It's being given to my father for his birthday, as I rubbed it in his nose at the airport and thus managed to get him excited, both my parents, and both could agree that the scent is totally unisex. Well, not quite was, associated with grapefruit are aquatic notes, as with all Light Blue Flankers really, and vetiver, absolutely not earthy and green but rather light and fresh, as is everything about this perfume. After hundreds of reviews both here and on YouTube, I come up with the surprise: it smells like grapefruit, and to me actually pretty much just grapefruit with occasional detours to grapefruit. Compared to some niche grapefruits but absolutely feathers leaves and even somewhat bored. But the top note entices and bucks, of course.Ĭonclusion: blood orange or nothing at all! A motto that works out well for itself and its weight class. Not the "light blue to beat all light blues" it's sometimes made out to be at the moment. One theme, one note, one whole level of excitement short with me. White, pure musk can always be said, but it's not enough. No twists, no real character, no positive smut, barely any humanity, and zero surprise. This is top notch, this is worthwhile, this alone almost lifts "Forever" into the green zone. Otherwise, it's probably going to be thin. You have to climb well into the niche to find a better, more authentic and invigorating blood orange. Naturally a summer prince, naturally a sun worshipper in swim trunks with a classic cut. Just the perfect balance of light synthetics and tremendous naturalness, of juice and flesh, of effervescence and refreshment, of vitamins and joie de vivre. "Light Blue Pour Homme Forever" has a clear vision (unlike the many "cooks at the stove" might suggest) and delivers a casual grapefruit to bite into. This must be noted with "Light Blue Pour Homme Forever" once again, which implements its grapefruit theme coherent and sparkling, but otherwise completely lacks the edge.
